Author Bio

Artist and engraver Charles Robinson (1870–1937) worked in the Arts and Crafts tradition and specialized in children's literature. A pioneer of modern book design, he was among the first to integrate drawings with text. Dover publishes his interpretation of A Child's Garden of Verses.
Walter Copeland Jerrold (1865–1929) edited many classics for Everyman's Library during the publisher's early years, and he wrote and edited many children's books.
