French chemist Olivier Kahn (1942–99) received his PhD from the National Chemical Engineering Institute in Paris (ENSCP) for his work on metal-organic compounds. He was Professor at the University of Paris-Sud from 1976–95 and at the University of Bordeaux from 1995–99.
