How Can I Pay for My Order?

Dover accepts both MasterCard and Visa. If you wish to pay by personal check, you must mail your order to Dover instead of ordering online.

Do I Have to Pay Sales Tax on My Order?

Dover Publications collects sales tax on all orders shipped to U.S. addresses where applicable. Dover does not collect sales tax on ebook orders.

Can I Order If I Live Outside of the United States?

We can only ship to customers in the United States and its territories. However, Dover has wide international distribution, and thousands of our books are available for purchase outside of the US from Amazon and many other websites and booksellers.

Will I Receive an Order Confirmation?

Yes, we will send you an order confirmation email shortly after you place your order. If you do not receive an order confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us. Once your order has shipped we will send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

How Do I Use a Gift Card?

To use a Dover gift card on our website, at Checkout enter your gift card code in the box labeled "Discount code or gift card" and click Apply. We recommend copying and pasting the code to reduce the risk of errors. If you need additional assistance using a gift card, please contact us.

Ordering For Schools & Libraries

Dover offers a 25% discount on school and library orders of $35 or more. Orders must be faxed or mailed on a Dover School or Library order form or with an official purchase order from your school or library. Shipping for school and library orders is based on weight. For complete information on placing school and library orders, please fax, write or contact us, and we will send you everything you need.

Desk and Examination Copy Policies

Examination Copies are available to professors and instructors who are considering adopting Dover books for classroom use. Please note that there is a maximum of 4 books, 2 copies each per semester. There is a charge of $2 for each exam copy to cover shipping & handling, sales tax, and fulfillment costs. Please use check or money order -- no POs or credit cards. All requests must be made in writing and sent to: Exam Copies, Dover Publications, Inc., 1325 Franklin Ave, Ste 250, Garden City, NY 11530.

Please be sure to write your request on school letterhead and include the following information: book title, author, and ISBN; name of class and approximate enrollment; shipping address. Note: books are shipped via UPS so no PO boxes, please.

How do I Cancel or Modify My Order?

If you would like to cancel or modify your order please email us at cancel@doverpublications.com with your name and order number. We will make every effort to honor your request. Please note, if your order is already in process we may not be able to make changes or cancellations. If we are unable to cancel or modify your order, please remember that our books are fully guaranteed and you may return them, no questions asked, for a full merchandise credit.
